When my students enter my classroom, my hope is that the space is fun, inviting and comforting. It is my belief that the design of the room can determine the experience and expectations that the students will have. The rug I have selected will help to create a warming effect with the natural colors and fun design. Nature is a big part of what we learn from and adding in the aspects of it to my classroom is important to the mission and philosophy I uphold. In short, I hope to build a foundation in my students that sets them up for life long learning and success. This rug will be a place to gather for story time, read alouds and group activities.
