The basketball court is my classroom and we are in need of the sound reinforcement speaker to complete a great teaching environment. As a Title I school, our PTA is made up of mostly our school staff; therefore we do not have a wealth of resources. My classroom court is not equipped as needed. Elementary physical education encompasses many activities that I wish to enhance through music. Beyond playing the PACER CD which prompts students to test their cardiorespiratory endurance, music encourages rhythmic movement and positive energy when doing locomotion, jump roping and yoga. My students also are in need of hearing my directions. In an outdoor environment with an enormous air conditioner nearby hearing the instructor's voice is difficult at best. The sound reinforcement will bring clarity to directions that will enable students to be successful. Success breeds success and my students deserve a level "playing field."
