My students have varying disabilities, ranging from learning disabled, to emotional disabilities to hearing impaired. Many students are reading below grade level but they still love to listen to books and looking at pictures! I take every opportunity to differentiate my instruction by working with small groups. While I work with small groups, the rest of my students are involved in high-quality reading activities. At this time I only have 1 CD player which allows very few children to engage in "Listening to Reading" or allows them to chose their own story to listen to.
