My Government and Economics students are some of the most hardworking individuals that I have ever had the pleasure of teaching. This is the third year that I am teaching some of my students, and I am very excited to be incorporating more project based learning in my classroom. All of my students are from low socioeconomic background and do not have immediate access to computers outside of school. This year I hope to expand the technology available to them by seeking donations to build an iPad library. Students will be able to use the iPads both in and outside of the classroom. I am excited to be working closely with student leaders that want to affect change in the Gary community through video blogs (vlogs) that will cover a range of topics such as inequity, active citizenship, and youth empowerment. It is an ambitious project that we will share with the entire school and community.
