My classroom is a Pre Kindergarten special education class composed of children with varying exceptionalities, typically I have children who are ASD, Developmentally Delayed, Orthopedically Impaired, Language Impaired, Down Syndrome, etc. My school is a Title 1 school, we have a high number of families from low income homes and new arrivals to the country who are in the process of learning a new language. But a child with disabilities is still a child who needs to have fun, play with friends, dance and sing and be encouraged to learn and grow to the fullest of their potential.
