My students are unique. They are each brilliant in their own right! They inspire me and make our school a vibrant and amazing place to be. This year I will begin a project allowing gifted students in 3rd through 5th grades to be peer tutors for students beginning their reading journey in Pre-K through 2nd grades. This project will enhance the academic experience of both the older and younger students by allowing interactions that would not have naturally occurred in their daily environment. Further, engaging in positive exchanges will promote a school culture that fosters self-esteem building and autonomy.
