My kindergarten students are learning to seek out and explore various ways to enjoy books. During whole group, they look and listen to many read alouds and enjoy sharing out their feelings while making connections to the text. At home, they are asking parents if they can bring books from home with the mindset that it must be shared with the class. In fact, as they begin to recognize print concepts, and discuss illustrations, they are eager to read to classmates during our literacy center times. Finally, listening to stories independently will continue to motivate them to eagerly enjoy books.

About my class
