Most children in my class do not have libraries at home. They want to read engaging books that have bright pictures and text that they can read independently. This book cart will allow my students to read books on their reading level, choose books they want to read and create excitement about Nonfiction Texts. My students need engaging, nonfiction books Levels D through through J, on their reading level and a rolling book cart to help us stay organized. Most of the books in my current classroom library are fiction books that have been donated. Very few are new or nonfiction. It can be a challenge to find nonfiction texts that can be read by low level readers. This cart and the nonfiction book sets will provide my low level reading students a chance to read, share and learn with their on-grade level peers.
