My students are readers, and my classroom library can attest to this. As a new teacher, I have a somewhat small classroom library. Though it may be small, this past year has proved how big of an impact books have. Each of the books I include within my library are books that I have read myself and that I am passionate about. This not only sets up a level of excitement for me to relay to my students, but it gives them an opportunity to view reading as it should be viewed: a form of enjoyment. I'd like to expand this library with high interest titles that I know my students will enjoy as well.
