Students are going to become Google support page writers and Google tool bloggers. They are compiling an interactive encyclopedia of Google tools and topics to help parents with computer literacy. As we share our Google Tool-opedias with parents they will be better able to help their children with online homework. Students are going to be creating a Google Slides presentation. The students start by giving an brief description of a Google Tool like Google Docs or Google Drive. In the slides following that brief overview students will outline how to accomplish useful topics which are tasks related to that tool. They will first write step by step instructions of how to do the task. These instructions will then act as a script as students use the extension Screencastify to record their screen activity and their voices (Thus the need of the sound canceling headset as many students will be recording simultaneously) as they show the parents what it looks like to complete that task. Finally students will also give a brief written description of how/when this task is useful.
