Our school district is one of the poorest in the state. Our schools have been cut to the bare bones due to fiscal issues of the city. We have lost our technology lab, which is totally outdated. My third grade students are split between those who have rarely left the city and those who move continuously. My students talk all the time in class about how they wish they could use technology to read, do research and write their stories.
