My students come from low socio-economic households where only 1 parent is present or they live with a relative. Most of the necessary resources they need for class come from my pocket so that they can come to a safe and productive class environment and learn successfully. The smallest act of kindness or love towards them puts a smile on their face and makes them eager to gain knowledge and learn new concepts.
