My students are inquisitive, energetic and full of curiosity and desire to learn. They each have varying degrees of disabilities ranging from autism to Down syndrome to ADHD and cerebral palsy which makes for a classroom environment that is challenging and exciting. My students spend a lot of their day in my classroom engaging in small group or direct instruction, but they also spend a significant amount of time outside of the classroom and in the school community alongside their typically developing peers. Our school is very inclusive of my students. The teachers, students and administration all work together to ensure that my students are included as valuable members of our school community.
