For so many students, history feels like an unrelatable subject about events that have no relevance. By creating a classroom Makerspace, students will have the opportunity to further their learning by having hands-on learning opportunities that include technology, engineering, and problem-solving. This project will allow students to take project-based learning to the next level and engage them in history. By middle school, so many students have written social studies off as a subject that has no connection to them, but my goal is to help them see how they can use the skills we learn to become active and informed citizens of the future. The donations to this project will allow students to see the connection between the past and how we can use the technology of today to better understand concepts that were once "boring."
