My students are curious, flexible learners. As we are in a pilot year of looping the 4th and 5th grade classes to provide additional opportunities for project based learning and technology, we are also piloting using tables in the classroom instead of desks. The students had adapted quite well to this system and have been gaining valuable organizational skills. The biggest problem with this system is that the students need a place to store their binders so they are not a hazard on the floor. My students need seat sacks to have storage for their binders.
