I teach 8th-12th graders at a public school. My high school is a high need school with about 85% of the student population being African American and 75% of the students coming from low-income families. With recent budget cuts, our school has been unable to afford books for the new Anatomy & Physiology course I am teaching. Therefore I have been working to develop a curriculum that is student centered, but also works without a textbook. I have created a lot of critically thinking activities and labs that I need to print for the students. Sadly our school also has a paper shortage because of the budget cuts.
