As our schools reopen and a "get back to normal" and after school programs are starting again as well. Our choir is ready and excited to get back to singing again. However we need help. Face masks are not conducive to good singing techniques and the ones designed for singing are way too expensive. Face shields will provide the safety my students need and the freedom to sing properly. Their mouths need to be uncovered for proper diction, breath control and sound projection. The clear face shield will allow them to see and hear what is proper. Working with young beginning singers imitation is one of the best ways for them to learn and grow as musicians. How we pronounce the words and shape our articulators (lips, teeth, tongue) can mean the difference between a unified choir and a crowd singing Take Me Out To The Ballgame. The clear shield will allow our audience to see the facial expressions so important to expressing the true meaning of the songs. Each student will be given their own face shield and will write their name on it. They will be stored in individual baggies and kept in the music room for future rehearsals and performances. My student are so excited to get the choir started again. They love to sing and they love the family we've created as the International Choir. Thank you for helping us achieve our goals.
