My students are very diverse. The high school population is probably about 45% Caucasian, 45% African American, and 10% Hispanic. A vast majority of them don't really care for reading, and I am really trying to get them to see the importance of it, and how it can be fun. Many of them will only be exposed to new places, things, or ideas through reading, and I would like to be the one to give them that gift.
