The books in this project were chosen by my students. I have a "library" in my classroom of books that I have purchased and some of my students asked me to update my library. I asked the class which books they would like, and these titles came up multiple times. Having books that students WANT to read will greatly impact their willingness to read (struggling readers aren't exactly thrilled to grab a book). Literacy is the key to a great education, and I want to help instill a lifelong love of reading for my students.
