Our school is in an Urban setting but considered a suburb. We have a high poverty rate and our students are not exposed to a lot of outside activity. Our students want to learn but some don't feel they are good enough to benefit from school. Others do not have the support they need and encouragement they need at home. My students are my family when I am here with them and I want the best materials I can get for them so they feel like they do deserve to learn!
