My students come from many different socioeconomic conditions. Every student needs to be given a fair chance to access the college and career of his or her dreams, and they need up-to-date materials. My students strive to succeed. They ask multitudes of questions. They desire to know and understand an ever-expanding world of scientific data. Our school is old. It is not fancy, or modern, or even adequate. Technology here is way behind the times. We have two outdated computer labs that we must share between the entire school. It is difficult to incorporate virtual labs, or to practice collaboration, or to experience state-of-the-art educational media.
