I teach students who are struggling and need extra support and intervention strategies to help them master their learning objectives. My students are pulled out of their classrooms daily for forty-five minutes of intensive small group learning sessions. They have various learning modalities, and need to make connections to their learning through touch, and brain stimulation. Many of the students come from economically disadvantaged homes, and lack exposure to hands-on materials that would help increase their understanding of the standards. My students attend a Title 1 School that has been in existence for over 30 years. The school does not have a lot of modern technology, and has limited new hands-on math materials needed to excite and motivate struggling students.
