Hi. As a teacher of high school students I am interested in teaching them not just the academics of English class but also about the realities of life. I find that I can do this through literature and narrative non-fiction. I'm an avid reader and I love sharing titles with my students. Two years ago, I moved my classroom library in and have been working to build a classroom library students can readily relate to. I screen the titles and enjoy having conversations with students about why it is important to build the skill of reading. We're just lucky to be able to do that with novels and narrative non-fiction.
