My students are full of joyful spontaneity. They surprise me daily with their exuberance and excitement when a lesson or subject captures their interest. I am continually amazed at their natural empathy, helpfulness, and interest in the world; however, our classroom represents a wide mix of abilities and my students have hugely differing family support. One of the biggest challenges for our school is bridging the economic gaps that often lead to an achievement gap in later years.
