My student population is very diverse. We have a large Hispanic population within our district. Along with our hispanic population we have white, African American, Asian, and American Indian. Of the student population within my school, we have many ELA and Special Needs students. Many of the students within my school receive free and/or reduced lunch and breakfast. With budget cuts and low funding from the state it is important that our students still get the best education we have to give them. I believe all students, especially my students deserve more. My students are eager to learn. They come to the library each and every day and always put forth their best effort. It is important as the school librarian I showcase their work and teach them to be active readers and writers.
