My students are low income, ELL students. Many of my families are first generation immigrants. Our students are highly invested in school and want to succeed. Many of my students' parents speak limited English. We are focused on being kindergarten readers. We spend our days exploring words and books. My students love to read and have great personalities. They use voices with the stories, draw pictures and role play stories. With limited resources at home, my students count on me to provide most of the reading teaching, books, and support. We are making great gains and can't wait to have more materials to support our learning.
