Most of us have no problems combining all our senses, for several of my students it is a challenge. Processing stimuli from the senses of sight, smell, sound, touch, taste, balance and body is overwhelming. Many of my students will withdraw to avoid over stimulation or try to sort out the input from their senses with repetitive behaviors (such as rocking back and forth). Tools, such as the comfort swing, will benefit these students and assist them to be more productive in class. My students love school and thrive on being successful. A comfort swing will be a great benefit to them!
