These kids are amazing. They are curious and involved in their learning. Our school has begun the shift towards Project Based Learning. Project Based Learning inspires students to ask driving questions and inquire about the world around them. In our classrooms, we use PBL to conduct our own research and create theories based on our findings. Having a classroom iPad will help the students and me take our research to a greater level. Using DiscoveryEducation and Safe Kids Search, the iPad allows students to research right at their desk or huddled in their group. No more having to research and print at home. With the new class iPad, students can research and find instant answers to their inquiries. Through the iPad, there are educational programs where students can create virtual poster boards (Think: Pinterest for kids!) using pictures, video clips, and research found from safe related websites. The days of gluing and pasting a human size poster board are behind us when using the iPad!
