The children are the most important aspect of this project as a whole. The youngest of the children in our community schools are housed at Gilead Hill Elementary School. There are currently five preschool classes and five kindergarten classes, with a total of 141 children enrolled in these classes. The focus of this request is primarily for those 141 preschool and kindergarten children, however this project will benefit the entire Gilead Hill Elementary School community. Included in this group are students who face multiple challenges every day. Currently there are 42 special needs children who are enrolled in preschool and kindergarten. We also provide a high quality preschool experience for children of lower economic status.
