I have an amazing group of second graders in a small town in Idaho. Every member of our school works diligently to help our kids to be safe, be respectful, and responsible. With that as a goal, our school has been able to really focus more on education. They come with such emotional baggage that they amaze me with their resilience. I made a camp theme in my class because camp experiences brought such good memories for me. I am often told that my class is very homey. That was my goal because some of my kids go home to difficult home lives. I'm proud to be a member of my school because we genuinely care about the individual students and who they are becoming as people in our community.
