These headphones will help me address the learning gaps my students face daily. We use a program called MobyMax that is tailored to the individual student. It has options that allow students to listen to someone read to them or hear the sounds of the lesson. We only have 3 pairs of headphones in our class and I have 23 students in the am and 24 in the pm. We desperately need these to reduce the distraction they face during our computer time and our intervention time. My class as a whole gets on laptops twice a week and throughout the week they have opportunities to get on this program during small group time. That's a lot of noise going on when we have don't have enough headphones! Having headphones to use the MobyMax program is going to help them be more successful in their learning. This program takes their current level of learning and teaches them the same standard but at their level. This is so important because our students are behind their peers at other schools because of their low socioeconomic status, Plus they really enjoy it and it is so beneficial.
