My students range from kindergarten - eighth grade. They are eager to learn and have been slowly getting excited about reading as I work to update our library. They love the look of new, colorful books that aren't yellowed, ripped or outdated. Those new, colorful books are the types of books that fly off the shelf, but unfortunately many of our books fit into the other category (yellowed, ripped, old, and outdated). We are a small rural school, which is nice when we're talking about small class sizes, but it isn't so nice when it comes to my budget. Because we are small, we don't receive much money from the state and my budget is minimal. I'd love to fill the shelves with new, colorful books so more and more books will fly off the shelves into the hands of students who will love to read them!
