Seven year old students learning coding? As part of the California Computer Science Standards our students need to start to learn and understand coding. 2nd grade is a great time to get my students motivated. Most careers will include some point of computer science in the future. It is important to give my students the opportunity to start learning at a young age. In addition to learning about coding in the classroom we plan to develop a robotic club after school. Older students will partner up with younger students to create a dynamic friendship. This will also help students develop: problem solving, critical thinking, computational thinking and structural thinking.
