My science scholars can be described as the most curious and ambitious children I have had the pleasure to work with. I am inspired by their interest in the unknown and how they work to solve problems in a scientific way. Our school is located in Gary and is composed of 95% free or reduced price lunch students. Over the course of one year, my students have shown 2 years of growth! I firmly believe that a scientific way of thinking, investigating, and defending ideas will make my students more successful. I hope to enrich science curriculum by using hands-on activities and experiments to reinforce the physical and analytical nature of this subject. By fostering curiosity, creativity, and excitement around science, my hope is they will have a greater appreciation of STEM.
