Our middle school is located in Southern Louisiana so many of our students really enjoy the outdoors. Typically they enjoy hunting, fishing, boating, mud riding, and just about anything else outside. We do however have students who prefer to be indoors due to our hot, moist climate -- especially in the heart of our sweltering summers. These are the students who benefit the most from our music programs. Our band gives them a place of belonging. Every child deserves a safe place at school where they feel like they fit in -- where they can be themselves and really belong.
