My classroom consists of 19 second grade students who love to learn! We have implemented the Daily 5 for the 1st time this year and the kids love it! They love to have the opportunity to listen to storybooks on iPads, computers, as well as Cassette Walkmans solely for enjoyment! For some of my students, Listening to Read is their only opportunity to "read" each day! They love to just sit and engage with books through reading to self or listening to read. Our accredited school is located in a small suburb in Kansas. We have 450 students enrolled in our school.
