My students love to READ! The reading levels in my 2nd grade class range from a beginning kindergarten level to a middle third grade. It breaks my heart to see students who are below grade level pick books that they are not capable of reading alone. They would rather pretend to read a chapter book, instead of read a picture book that is more on their level and will help them learn. With 21 students in my classroom, there are many students who are reading books that are not on their level. I want to make all of my students feel the success in reading by being able to read books they are comfortable with and feel confident doing so. By using an ipad students would not know what books they are reading. I can also pick which books they are allowed to read from.
