My students are awesome! I have thirty students in my third grade classroom that have such unique, fun personalities! My school is in a low-socioeconomic area. Each student has gone through so much in their short 8 or 9 years of life than most adults will ever know. This year I have a boy who saw his mother drown at a lake, another student whose little 11 month old sister was just diagnosed with cancer, and another one whose dad is in jail. They come to school each day with a smile and I try to make it a safe place to set away from the stressors of their home life.
