My students are caring, imaginative, outgoing, funny, and leaders in the community. As an urban school, 93.8% of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch and are of ethnic minorities. My students constantly face challenges both inside and outside of school. Many of my students will be the first member of their family to attend college. They are working hard to achieve their goals and create opportunities for themselves. As a teacher, I support my students in every way that I can. I am constantly blown away by their fervor and their hearts. My students help each other in academic and personal endeavors. I am honored to be one of their teachers and I learn so much from each of them.
