My students are considered at risk learners because they are below grade level readers. They often lack the necessary resources to help them achieve success. My school is a very diverse one with students from all over the world including; Thailand, Burma, Africa, and many Latin American countries. I have a large population of students who speak English as a second language and go home and speak in their native language.
