Your generous donation will help provide my students with additional reading resources. Scholastic magazines help to engage and motivate students to read. These magazines will help my students make connections to current events happening in the world around them. I want my students to be life long readers! I plan to use these magazines in small group instruction and reading centers to promote reading comprehension. These magazines will also be sent home to provide additional literature material for the home environment. There is an online component that supports this resource as well that can be assessed from school or home. Each magazine provides comprehension questions and will also promote class discussion. I have used this resource in the past and students are overjoyed when the subscription arrives at school.
