I am looking to have my students find comfort, pleasure and excitement during their reading time. This could be done by supporting a new desirable setting with updated materials. I would like to offer my students new materials in a setting that is motivating and one that they feel great about utilizing. I am looking to enable them to gain insight on current events and literature that is both engaging and at their reading level. I plan to utilize the weekly readers to expand on current events and gain students' confidence in the existing world around them. I am also looking to design an environment that is comfortable and authentic to "getting lost in a good book". I am looking to grant them this pleasure at school in order to foster their reading progress by reading as much as possible. This can be done by utilizing the desired flexible seating during centers time and lighting that is more feasible and conducive for long time reading pleasure.
