The Play and Explore Color-Changing Light Center will allow the children to experiment with, manipulate, and create using the translucent resources (pattern blocks, gems, and bugs) and bright colors. The children can learn about shapes, colors, counting. The children will work on their fine motor skills by manipulating the smaller materials and pegboards. Because the children will be engaged in hands-on learning, this will boost their problem solving, persistence, and critical thinking skills. Additionally, the variety of resources and shape of the light center will facilitate turn-taking and social interaction between children. These materials will foster creativity, imagination, language, and social skills as the children have a chance to explore and play. By donating to this project, you truly will be lighting up their worlds and giving my students a bright future!
