We are a local South Florida school that has participated in ecology programs over the last three years. I have conducted in class and club activities designed to help students become peer educators and mentors to students within our school and community. I accomplish this through research, education, and hands on exploration of real-world science concepts and issues that face our planet and future generations while enhancing S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) concepts and instruction together with effective communication skills. Our school has won a number of awards for our efforts including second place in our district for Green Education and energy reduction at our school of 2 % last year. We teach students from all walks of life and hope to have their global citizenship carry on to future generations in hopes of reducing our carbon footprints.
