My students are hungry for something more in life, but are unsure how to achieve it. Due to circumstances, the path to success has not been clearly laid out for them. However, this is where the fun and excitement comes in for me. I often try to expose them to a way of thinking and learning that blows their minds. Being a Language Arts teachers gives me the opportunity to teach them reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills that will benefit them for the rest of their lives. Our principal is very strict and makes learning the top priority. My students tend to rise to the high expectations that we have for them. This is evident through our increased enrollment this year. We constantly receive students from other schools through hardships. Our parents want what is best for their children and they trust us to provide that. We constantly and consistently meet state and district standards. This is no easy task...it is hard work, and I love every minute of it.
