My school is located in an urban area. The kids that attend my school come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. The free and reduced lunch population includes 82.9% of our students. Many students do not have books or basic school supplies at home. While my students come to school with little in terms of material possessions and background knowledge, they do come wanting to learn and experience new things.
