Hello and welcome to room 21 where we DREAM BIG, and find ways to make it happen! My name is Mrs. Leighton, and I am a 4th grade teacher in Watsonville, California, where ripe berry fields and organic lettuces surround our homes and schools. Many of my parents are working hard in those fields, and their dream is for their children to get a good education. I loved this dream, so I decided to become an educator and help them make it happen! My big message to my students this year is "Dream big, make a plan, and then work hard to make it happen." This year with 34 awesome students it is no surprise that they have big dreams, but they took my message, and are living it! They've developed a plan and are working hard to make it happen. So what's their dream? Visit a rainforest! You might be asking, "How do they plan to accomplish this?" Check out our project to find out!
