My 21 littles are bright, inquisitive thinkers. They come from many different backgrounds and we have 6 different home languages spoken in my classroom. My school has a vibrant culture that comes from our students and our community. The educators at my school are dedicated to getting each and everyone of our students to meet rigorous standards at their grade level. My school is truly a community with most classes being paired with an intermediate and primary classroom for the purpose of improving our literacy together. We also have a virtues program school wide that recognizes students who exemplify each month's virtue. Although our school is an amazing place, most of our students come from humble homes. In our district we have about a 40% free and reduced lunch rate and my school is above that average. The need for resources is great.
