I am a kindergarten teacher at a school that has a high percentage of children living below the poverty level. Despite the economic challenges that these families may face, my students are eager to learn and parents are excited to see their students overcome these challenges and succeed. Our school does a great job in trying to provide the necessary tools that classrooms need, but it seems like there is always more that is needed. With children living with low incomes the school and teachers are left to pay for many things that families cannot get on their own. I never want my students to miss out on anything because of what life has dealt them. I want them to learn and experience as much as possible while they are in my classroom. If you can help me do that, it would be greatly appreciated!!
