My students range from 9th through 12th grade. The school is a Title 1 low income school and is the largest high school in our school district. Along with being the largest, our population is extremely diverse, and our school building very old. The library that I work in needs a lot of TLC to meet the needs of our entire population. One of those needs is technology. Our students are required to complete assignments online, but many do not have access to computers or internet at home, so the library is the only place they can do their homework. Our goal is to make the library a place that all students feel welcome and safe. It is my hope that the projects funded through DonorsChose will give our students the materials they need to be successful in their high school career and help them to graduate.
